Katsina state ministry of justice gets new perm Sec

The Katsina State Governor, Rt. Hon. Aminu Bello Masari has on Thursday sworn in Barrister Safiya Badamasi Umar as the new solicitor general and permanent secretary in the state ministry of justice.               
  

Speaking at the ceremony Masari detailed that the former chairman of Commission of inquiry into looted funds who had a working experience with Safiya described her as a hardworking and dedicated civil servant.

Governor Aminu Bello Masari further implores on judicial officers to maintain their position of being last hope of common man.

"some lawyers do not uphold the ethics of the profession." Masari affirmed           

The Katsina State governor further reminded judicial officers on the day of  judgement and charged them for accountability. 

 The swearing in ceremony had in attendance the state Chief Judge, the State Grand Khadi, the Secretary to the State Government (SGS), Judges, Qadis,  some members of the state executive council, among many others.

No frosty relationship with NAS - Osinbanjo

In spite of political differences, the presidency is happy with the good relationship with the National Assembly. Unlike in the past, the present executive had never tried to step into the affairs of the conduct of the two houses. Vice President Yemi Osinbajo spoke at the 2017/2018 Barewa Old Boys Association annual lecture in Sokoto where he restated that the relationship between the executive and the National Assembly remained in good condition. “There had never been any attempt under the present administration to stamp the legislature as was experienced in the past administration. “Moreover, Nigeria had five Senate Presidents between 1999 and 2007, which is very easy to forget. All of this and many more took place in very recent history. “So, you will agree with me that a lot had changed at least with regard to political understanding,” Osibanjo added. Kano travelers cries out

Some travelers  at the Mallam Aminu Kano international airport has lamented their distaste over the barbarous blustering by the security operatives at the Mallam Aminu Kano  domestic departure gate. Some passengers on Sunday morning at about 6:30 at the domestic departure gate told Press  headlines  correspondent that they were harassed, strained, bullied and intimidated by the security operatives at the Aminu Kano international airport domestic departure gate. An eyewitness also told journalists that the security operatives denied some passengers access with their luggage. Press headlines however learnt that the security operatives at the departure gate has been harassing and intimidating passengers for quite a long time now.
