KATSINA SET FOR FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT

Some Katsina base youth has organized a two days football tournament at Katsina State.

 @kft_football scheduled to kick-start on 26th January to 27th January.

Already the organizers has phase out plans for the games, however Press Headlines learnt that players are expected to make their registrations with the organizers before the schedule date of the tournament.

Katsina football tournament also have partnership with popular Katsina base alqalamist a reknown photography outlet, Abespoke a fashion design enterprise, Press Headlines an online Katsina base  media News outlet among many other sponsors.

Governor of Plateau State Simon Lalong Monday paid a condolence visit to Chief of Army Staff, Lt Gen Tukur Buratai at the Army Headquarters in Abuja over the death of Maj Gen Idris Alkali. Buhari sends Defence minister to Chad

President Muhammadu Buhari has dispatched the Minister of Defence, retired Brig-Gen. Mansur Dan-Ali, to Chad for an emergency meeting with the Chadian President, Idriss Deby, on the deterioration of security at the Nigeria – Chad border. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Dan-Ali had on Thursday briefed President Buhari on security development across the country. He also briefed him about the recent killings of some Nigerian soldiers by the Islamic West Africa Province, a breakaway Boko Haram sect, operating along Nigeria – Chad border. AFP reported that no fewer than 44 soldiers were killed during the attacks, which occurred at Metele, a remote village bordering Nigeria and Chad. Diplomatic sources told NAN that the Minister of Defence would also be meeting his Chadian counterpart during his mission to Chad, to identify what had led to the recent increase in Boko Haram terrorism in the area. Katsina state ministry of justice gets new perm Sec

  The Katsina State Governor, Rt. Hon. Aminu Bello Masari has on Thursday sworn in Barrister Safiya Badamasi Umar as the new solicitor general and permanent secretary in the state ministry of justice.                   Speaking at the ceremony Masari detailed that the former chairman of Commission of inquiry into looted funds who had a working experience with Safiya described her as a hardworking and dedicated civil servant. Governor Aminu Bello Masari further implores on judicial officers to maintain their position of being last hope of common man. "some lawyers do not uphold the ethics of the profession."
