Kano Assembly invites governor

Kano State House of Assembly has sent a letter of invitation to the Kano State Governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje to defend the bribery allegation levied on him.
In a letter dated 31st Oct, 2018 which was received by the Kano State Government House, titled *"Invitation to Respond to an Allegation of Bribery against H.E Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje"*, the letter read as follows;
"The state House of Assembly in it's resolution dated 15th October 2018, established a seven man committee to investigate the allegations of collecting bribe from contractors by His Excellency Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje as alleged by the Publisher of an online newspaper Daily Nigeria, Mr. Jaafar Jaafar through some widely circulated video clips."
Furthermore, the Committee requested for a written, signed and dated statement by the Governor as *part of the proceedings on or before the date of the hearing*.
The hearing will take place on Friday (Tomorrow) 2nd November, 2018 by 10:00am at the Kano state House of Assembly.

No frosty relationship with NAS - Osinbanjo

In spite of political differences, the presidency is happy with the good relationship with the National Assembly. Unlike in the past, the present executive had never tried to step into the affairs of the conduct of the two houses. Vice President Yemi Osinbajo spoke at the 2017/2018 Barewa Old Boys Association annual lecture in Sokoto where he restated that the relationship between the executive and the National Assembly remained in good condition. “There had never been any attempt under the present administration to stamp the legislature as was experienced in the past administration. “Moreover, Nigeria had five Senate Presidents between 1999 and 2007, which is very easy to forget. Kano travelers cries out

Some travelers  at the Mallam Aminu Kano international airport has lamented their distaste over the barbarous blustering by the security operatives at the Mallam Aminu Kano  domestic departure gate. Some passengers on Sunday morning at about 6:30 at the domestic departure gate told Press  headlines  correspondent that they were harassed, strained, bullied and intimidated by the security operatives at the Aminu Kano international airport domestic departure gate. An eyewitness also told journalists that the security operatives denied some passengers access with their luggage. Press headlines however learnt that the security operatives at the departure gate has been harassing and intimidating passengers for quite a long time now.
