Again Masari bags Award of excellence

The Katsina State Governor, Rt. Hon Aminu Bello Masari has on Friday bagged an  award of Excellence as best performing Governor.

 The award was presented to the governor by the northern Musicians Forum at the Banquet Hall, Muhammadu Buhari House.

While receiving the award the governor  appreciated  the Musicians who glean  his contributions to Rural Development and participatory governance, Masari further  emphasized that he only observes his office's duties without the thought of it being worthy of an award. Howbeit  the governor  showed his appreciation for being worthy of recognition.

 The Association of the Arewa Musicians has  today (Saturday)  morning rally the state from the State APC headquarters to Muhammadu Dikko Stadium to show support and solidarity for reelection of Buhari/Masari in 2019.

Press Headlines recall  that  governor Masari also  received similar award of Excellence last week  by the Council of Court Registers, for giving the Judiciary autonomy and independence.

No frosty relationship with NAS - Osinbanjo

In spite of political differences, the presidency is happy with the good relationship with the National Assembly. Unlike in the past, the present executive had never tried to step into the affairs of the conduct of the two houses. Vice President Yemi Osinbajo spoke at the 2017/2018 Barewa Old Boys Association annual lecture in Sokoto where he restated that the relationship between the executive and the National Assembly remained in good condition. “There had never been any attempt under the present administration to stamp the legislature as was experienced in the past administration. “Moreover, Nigeria had five Senate Presidents between 1999 and 2007, which is very easy to forget. All of this and many more took place in very recent history. “So, you will agree with me that a lot had changed at least with regard to political understanding,” Osibanjo added. Kano travelers cries out

Some travelers  at the Mallam Aminu Kano international airport has lamented their distaste over the barbarous blustering by the security operatives at the Mallam Aminu Kano  domestic departure gate. Some passengers on Sunday morning at about 6:30 at the domestic departure gate told Press  headlines  correspondent that they were harassed, strained, bullied and intimidated by the security operatives at the Aminu Kano international airport domestic departure gate. An eyewitness also told journalists that the security operatives denied some passengers access with their luggage. Press headlines however learnt that the security operatives at the departure gate has been harassing and intimidating passengers for quite a long time now.
